Visiting Hercules

We took advantage of the beautiful weather today and took a walk around Kassel’s most lovely park, Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe. The Hercules monument is always a fun spot to visit. Here he is in all his glory, sunning himself without any shame whatsoever:

Restoration work on the monument is ongoing, in fact I have yet to see it without its scaffolding.

The 250m long cascades will have to wait until spring for water to be pumped up the hill and allowed to flow down them once again.

We gathered a few fallen branches on our walk as I’ve been meaning to,um,branch out into non-floral arrangements. Like what I did there?

Here’s my first attempt as displayed in my recent Carstens and Scheurich floor vase finds:

At least it kept the cats amused…

Enjoy your Sunday evening.
