Spotted: More West-German Pottery Inspiration

Before I show you this weekend’s pottery display inspiration found during my sojourns through the web, I just need to do a little gloating: we have finished our Christmas shopping. Phew. That is all.

On to today’s gorgeousness – I wish I had the patience to put up a Christmas light installation like this. The simple display of West-German pottery is quietly beautiful in this setting too and harmonizes perfectly with the gray wall colour and clean lines of the Eames chairs and dining table (found on the wonderful blog A Merry Mishap)

image: next images are from the spectacular house tour of Dan Devening. It was his collection of Nagel candleholders which featured in one of last week’s posts.

If you have the room to spare, grouped displays on coffee tables always seem to look great. Especially when juxtaposed with an Eero Saarinen Womb chair…be still my beating heart.

Modern art, modern pottery, hardwood floors…match made in heaven.

As Sunday slowly melts into Monday, I hope the start of your week is a pleasant one and that all your remaining Christmas preparations are hassle free.

Finally, a few minutes to come check out your blog as I’ve been meaning to do, and aren’t I glad I did. Panton chairs, super pottery (I can’t collect anything else, but boy would I like to own some West German pottery, what great stuff), your blog is super. I’ll definitely be back.

Hi David, thanks so much for stopping by. I certainly know what you mean about collecting too much stuff! Somehow there is never enough space for it all. Have a lovely Christmas.

I like the Apartment Therapy pictures – I need to go and have a look at their site!
